I will be going on my first couponing haul today. And, when I get back I will blog the results of my haul. I will be doing 2 different transactions. In one transaction, I plan to save at least 75%. In the other, I plan to save... what? You guessed it, 50% or more depending on tax.

Ok, can I retract the statement I made in the 2012 recap post?
2013 has turned out to be a very unlucky year.
While 2012, had its down sides...my dad having surgery and my aunt passing away...2013, what was supposed to be a new, better year; a happy year, well...the universe had other plans for me.
Now, I'm not posting this blog for people to feel sorry for me. I'm simply posting because I haven't in a while and believe it or not, this blog has, if nothing else, been my only way to keep up with my own life.
On January 15, our house caught on fire. It destroyed the whole back half of it but thankfully, it never spread to my room.
On February 4, we found my granddaddy in the bathroom. He passed away from a heart attack.
Things were going good for a little but. We were able to find my parents a mobile home but, it was a fixer upper. We spent the next 4 months getting it ready to move into. We also started on mine getting it ready to move into in September because the fiancé and I were getting married September 13th.
As if planning a wedding and fixing up 2 mobile homes wasn't enough stress on us, on August 10, the day of my bridal shower, we get a call that they had found my brother dead on the side of the road in the city where he lived. He didn't love far from a had station so he walked there a lot. He was 39 years old and he passed from a heart attack.
So, September 13 rolls around, the day of our wedding. It was a very good day, I was happy, my decorations turned out wonderful thanks to a very special aunt and cousin. But, I was also sad because 3 people that I expected to be there couldn't make it. I know they were somewhere watching and making my day very special to me.
And that, has been my year so far. Let's see if the rest can be better.

Here we go...
We welcomed in a New Year, of course. I finally decided to take a step in a different direction with schooling. Yes, radiology.
I put a friendship situation in the hands of the other person. So, I put the ball in their court. We're still passing it back and forth I believe.
I learned a little more about St. Expedite and worked a spell using his guidance.
I started Shadow Work to try to get rid of negativities and such. I attempted to start growing a few of my own herbs. EPIC FAIL!
Oops. I didn't blog anything in June. Hmm...
Leslie came home from Germany for her baby shower. I made her a car seat canopy as a gift. Ellie, my dog, had her puppies. Only one lived. :( Negotiations on a trailer were started.
Chad & I went on vacation to The Smokies. We didn't have such a fun time.
One the 13th, Chad and I were together 10 years. My dad had another heart attack.
Oct 3rd, my dad had his 2nd open heart surgery. Oct 27th, my aunt passed away.
Alanea got a pet turtle, I got 2 pet hermit crabs. LOL
Blah. I got shingles. Fun stuff!
Ok, 2012 is over. Let's move on. So, we now have 2013 to deal with. I know it's going to be better than 2012. No negative Nellies here! LOL

Our newest addition to our household is a red ear slider turtle. My little sister has been wanting one for a while. While my dad was in the hospital after his surgery, we went to the local pet store to see if they had turtles. Sure enough, they did. So, we brought one home. Now, we are just trying to figure out if it's a boy or girl. We have decided that if it's a boy, his name is Hercules. If a girl, her name is Derpy. (Oh the mind of a 12 year old) This now makes 3 dogs, 3 hermit crabs and a turtle to our animal population. I will be posting about our hermit crabs as soon as I can. So far, we have had good luck with the turtle. We are looking to upgrade the tank and move our hermit crabs into the turtle's current tank so they will have a bigger home and we may even add a couple more crabs!
